As you browse the web, you’re sure to have noticed that many sites have their own bespoke icon in the address bar. Take a look at Google, Amazon or Wikipedia for examples. These are ‘favourites icons’ – so called because they also appear in your browser’s favourites menu when you bookmark a site.
