@Sven Miller: truly to say Yooba not a CMS actually but useful but not that flexible builder. It’s more like WIX.
What deserve to be in a list is FlashMoto CMS. They’ve released an open BETA flash cms right now http://www.flashmoto.com/
That’s what I’m calling flash cms. Flexible, with powerful API and losts of dynamic modules.

Take a look at Yooba Studio (http://www.yooba.com)
Yooba is an add-on that can be used with any existing CMS to create or modify Flash content within an existing site.
We believe that most sites will not be converted to Flash sites, but will still be html sites with bits of Flash content on them.
With Yooba Studio you can create and manage images, text, animation, forms, actions and get statistics and integration with your existing system.
It’s delivered as SaaS and is all browser based.

I really can’t believe you haven’t found ModX yet http://modxcms.com/learn/solutions/flash-cms.html .

It’s a dream come true for me, I can use my Actionscript without being restricted at all giving my clients a friendly CMS and myself days of delight making cool stuff, actually I rediscovered my profession once I could be 100% efficient with requirements and at the same time having all the time in the world to make engaging stuff.

I use ModX http://modxcms.com/ for my Flash CMS needs, I make websites the way that I want in Flash and XHTML/CSS, I can skin the admin module for my clients also and work from flash using XML files.
After searching looong and hard for a Flash CMS I can build upon without being restrictive I found ModX, I’m in love with it and I can use my Flash and Design skills without worrying about the backend.

Also you guys should consider http://www.sproutbuilder.com/ Its a mix of a flash ria/cms for advertising or You could even create a full website out of it which is very user friendly and interesting.

I completely agree with you but in fact I think that there are 2 kind of Flash CMS :

- the “real” CMS, which are focus on user and content delivery just like php CMS do.
This approach is interesting and addressing the GUI and ergonomics questions.
But sometimes it looks like they reinvent the wheel.
For example: DDX or Venuiti.

- the “so called Flash CMS”, which are close to an online powerpoint or lite versions of photoshop/illustrator with advanced publication capabilities.
This is interesting to tackle with Flash drawbacks compared to HTML and to publish very quickly Flash content with advanced functionalities without programming skills.
But this kind of software often tend to be simple site builders because they lack a good template system, do not integrate well in the Adobe suite and have very few third party plug-ins.
For example: SILEX, Flashdance, Flashit easy.

What do you think about that? I am very interested in these questions.

Thank-you for your recent mention of our DDX FlashCMS on your Flash Enabled Blog.

The DDX FlashCMS application is being replaced by GLU, a “rich media community, management system and flexible development framework”, more directly targeted at developers, but also bringing together different web user groups under the one administration system.

Whilst GLU is in its public beta, its heritage is derived from DDX FlashCMS and its more readily available to access than the custom build implementations of its predecessor.

Great article, I found some inpiration from those cms.

However, since you speak of Drupal, I would add that, for me, it has become really usefull to developp full flash site. With some modules like “services” and “swfaddress”, you can create flash site with a solid base backend from drupal (or some other cms ).

This is certainly a not so easy sollution, but it will leave you a lot of freedom.
